MEXIKA "Sounds of Ancient Mexico" Members: Martin Espino - Mexican Wind Instruments & Nazario Segura; Gabriel Castaneda and Erick Barraza: Mexican indigenous percussion such as: Kayumes (timbales de barro), Huehuetl, Stone Xylophones, Rattles, and more We had fun playing at a local place here in Long Beach, CA called Viento y Agua Coffeehouse and when we heard the digital recording they did, we loved it, I took it home and remixed it; the result is this wonderful upbeat CD of indigenous & danza music, without the dancers, lol. So, if you've ever seen what are called Aztec dancers those are the rhythms we're using plus a few original pieces we improvised live. Enjoy this wake up music! This is longest CD at about 65 minutes of high energy, mesmerizing "real" Mexican music!
